A necklace by Phetchaburi goldsmiths, strung with pine-cone beads raised from thin sheet gold and granulated grain by grain across the surface — a technique handed down through generations of the Phetchaburi school.
The gold has the warm, orange-tinged tone of old Thai gold, quite unlike modern chain, and closes with a hook clasp chased with pikul flowers.
Details: Gold approx. 90% (XRF tested) · 46 cm long · 38.6 g · unmarked
Condition: Good; all beads present, two beads near the clasp slightly dented.
Provenance: Passed down in a Mueang Phetchaburi family; commissioned around 1957.
